About This Place

Located in the charming village of Fornham All Saints on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds, The Coffee House offers a welcoming retreat for coffee aficionados and food lovers alike. Tucked away within a modest business park, this delightful coffee shop and store is a discovered gem that beckons with the promise of expertly crafted beverages and a comforting atmosphere.

The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a homely, kitsch décor that feels like a cozy neighborhood sanctuary. Customers have praised the warm and friendly service, with staff like Lucy and Jessica earning heartfelt commendations for making special occasions memorable and everyday visits delightful. Whether it’s a casual meet-up, a family brunch, or an intimate gathering after a significant life event, The Coffee House creates an inclusive and soothing environment where guests feel truly cared for.

The menu is a delicious blend of classic favorites and unique treats. Start your day with a full English breakfast or indulge in the flaky perfection of a buttery croissant or a pastel de nata. For those seeking comfort, the Cheese Scone filled with savory goodness is not to be missed. Sandwich options range from creamy egg mayo to the indulgent Brie, Bacon, and Cranberry, while the jacket potatoes are generously topped with classic pairings like cheese and beans or tuna mayo with a refreshing crunch of coleslaw.

The coffee offerings are equally impressive. Creamy cappuccinos, velvety vanilla lattes, and refreshingly smooth iced coffees ensure every sip is satisfying. The rave reviews don’t lie – Simon Coombe’s words capture it perfectly: “You need to know of it to find it… there’s a nice surprise waiting for you,” hinting at the hidden charm that many patrons discover time and again. Regular customer Kayla K. echoes this sentiment, appreciating the welcoming ambience and the cozy seating ideal for lingering conversations over a morning treat.

The Coffee House’s appeal rests not only in its menu but in the genuine connections forged there. Julia Hughes’ touching testimonial about hosting a post-funeral gathering reflects the care and kindness that staff infuse into each visit. Meanwhile, Ali B’s feedback on the quality and presentation of sandwiches and jacket potatoes highlights the menu’s thoughtful variety and evolving nature.

Whether you’re after a robust, freshly brewed coffee, a comforting plate of mushrooms and egg on toast, or a sweet muffin to brighten your afternoon, The Coffee House delivers each time with authenticity and heart. It’s a place where local charm meets quality, making every visit a quiet little celebration of good food, great coffee, and warm human connection.

We as a family have been visiting here regularly for a few years on a Saturday taking our parents. We lost our dad recently and we held the after funeral gathering here. The food and drinks supplied were all very tasty. The sausage rolls in particular were very popular. Thank you to Lucy and Jessica and all the staff for making this sad but memorable day special for us all. We will still be popping in every Saturday with our mum who feels really comfortable visiting the coffee house. Thanks again to everyone xxx

Popped on for a drink and a bite to eat. The service was very good and the staff are jolly! Ordered a sandwich and also jacket potato. The sarnie was nice but I do feel a good thick piece of granary should be used rather than thin. No sode salad either so it looked somewhat lonesome on the plate. Jacket potato was nice. Smoothies we ordered were very good. Overall a nice eatery and the location is ok, just expect to have a view of office buildings as it’s on a business park.

You need to know of it to find it. Nestled within one of those small business parks it could easily be missed, but when you find it there’s a nice surprise waiting for you. Homely kitsch decor, a very warm welcome and good coffee and a wide selection of food. There’s a great coffee shop buzz too, despite the Monday lunchtime discovery. I’ll definitely come back. And that’s not just because of the loyalty card I got handed.

It was a great place for breakfast or brunch. Food was good and the vibe was nice. They were dog-friendly too! It’s got outdoor area where you can enjoy tasty food while enjoying the sun. You can also explore gifts and plants there as there was a gift shop there. If you come by car, there are car park spaces. I will go there again soon!

Service is always amazing and the atmosphere is always stunning. I love coming in for the aesthetic and the dogs and the staff are just amazing sometimes they can be hit and miss. Sometimes the food is really really great. The coffee is really really great sometimes those scrambled eggs though are a little too runny/undercooked but that’s once in a blue moon sometimes overall though definitely worth going to.
